Evelyn felt like her heart was slowly melting as Trigger glanced upon her with a hurt expression. She wanted to give him what he wanted, but she just wasn't ready. Him sitting up and her lying down made him seem extremely tall and, suddenly, she felt intimidated.
Was he getting annoyed? Where was the sweet Trigger who kissed her daintily at the park?
She didn't answer his first question, but answered the duplicate with a shove of his body that removed him from her. I don't want to, she said meekly, standing up with her arms crossed, her eyes on the dirty floor.

When Evie pushed him, Trigger felt so hurt he could barely express it in words. What was she doing? He could feel frustration rushing through his vains. He was just a headstrong teenage boy who was paying attention to his hormones and she was denying him the one thing he was asking of her. He'd been such a good boyfriend, with the compliments and the smiles and the hand holding and the making out innocently. He had done everything that she could have wanted, why wouldn't she do this one thing for him?
Trigg tried not to scowl, his heart ached as he watched her stand up, he longed to back down, to give in and say something like "Okay, we'll wait." but his raging hormones wouldn't let him and his ego wouldn't let him either. He stood up too and took a step towards her. His eight inch height advantage was something he was using against her now. He felt slightly bad about it. "If you loved me you would." he bit out, trying to keep his voice soft and failing. He took a deep breath and looked at he softly, shrinking back slightly. "Are you a virgin? Are you scared?" he asked her softly, but you couldn't miss the fact he was trying to manipulate her. "I'll make it good for you." he promised her.

]Evelyn didn't back away when Trigger approached her, but she tightened the grip her arms had around her waist. He was starting to scare her. She didn't want to look up at him, so she looked elsewhere, to her left at a vacant bed with scrumbled sheets. She didn't even look at him when she talked.
I do love you, she said firmly, her voice quaking a little. I'm just not ready. Her voice was going to crack. She looked at the floor and said, barely audibly, I just don't want to. Not yet. The thing she really didn't want was to get him mad. And she was scared that that would happen anyway, even voice or not.

What Trigger really wanted to do at that moment was to lift something heavy and chuck it at the wall with all the force he could muster - which was quite a lot at that particular moment. Instead his dug his nails into his palms and took a few deep breaths as quietly as he could. He tried his hardest not to grab her and kiss her so passionately she'd want him the way he wanted her. He wasn't looking at her, he was staring at the wall, focusing all his anger at it.
Trigger crossed the room swiftly and crouched down onto his knees so he could look her in the eyes as he talked to her. "I never asked anything off you before now. Come on Evie." he begged her, although you couldn't mistake that edge to his voice. His pleading was put on, he didn't really care about her right now. He just cared about being with her. Why was she making this so difficult? Was she testing him? He hoped it was a test, a cruel test.

Evelyn couldn't believe the way Trigger had changed. The lengths he was going to to get her to sleep with him. She walked away to the other side of the room, wondering if the people on the lower floor were wondering what the hell was going on.
She turned to face him, now looking what she hoped was understandably angry. You think I owe this to you? That's pathetic, she said quietly, but with an edge to her voice. There's no use in begging. I'm not that easy, Trigger. You should know that.

Trigger groaned in frustration and stood up, glaring at her as she stared at him angrily. He dug his nails into the palms of his hands again and didn't any attempt to mask his frustration and anger. He took a couple of steps towards her and then stopped; thinking better of it. "Thats not what I said." he growled, "You are twisting my goddamn words Evie and you know it." he was almost shaking with anger.
Trigger walked closer to her and then stopped again, a few steps short of her, staring at her again. "I never said you were easy." he added, looking at her with a look of burning anger. He was angry because he was being denied what he wanted. He was angry because she said no. He was angry at himself for plunging into this. But he wasn't ready to admit that he was at fault. He closed the gap between them, standing close to her. He put his hand on her upper arm and looked at her. He moved his head, as if he was going to kiss her, "Why are you doing this?" he asked her so softly that his breath was sure to tickle her lips. He was in a dangerous form of anger now....

Evelyn tried to stay confident and put on a stone faced glare right back at Trigger. She wanted to cut him with her eyes for putting her in this position. Her face faltered when he growled at her. Even though she'd only known him for two days, he had never taken a harsh tone of voice with her. She wondered if she should just leave through the door and let that be it.
But wait.
They live together practically. She couldn't avoid him for long. I never said that you did say that, she said childlishly, resisting a small laugh at how stupid she sounded. But she forgot about laughing and filled up with anger again when his lips were so close to hers. He was trying to tempt her. She knew it.
Why are you doing this?!, she hissed, looking at his lips. She thought about pushing him away, furious.

Trigger frowned at her when she came back with the childish reply of 'I never said that you did say that' he could tell it would just start a war that no one could win. So he just ignored the question and looked at her, it was a firm, even stare. As she hissed at him he felt her breath on his lips. He could smell her familiar scent and for a split second he thought he was going to back down. But he couldn't control himself now, he wasn't going to give into her, he always gave in to her. It was her turn.
Trigg looked at her very evenly and then closed his eyes. He was shaking with anger again, her persistant dodging of his questions was really pissing him off. "I asked you the question, Evie." he said, using the way he said her name as a sign - a sign of how angry and dangerous he was making her. He opened his eyes again and took another step forward, knowing it would force her back. He raised his hand and gently rested it on her face, his hands were warm and there were little cresent shapes in his palms where he'd dug his nails in. "You are making everything so difficult." he said dangerously softly, his lips were milimetres from hers and the eyecontact he was holding was simply overwhelming.

Trigger's cold, hard stare bore a hole right through Evelyn. She didn't want to look in his eyes. He was getting scary now, dangerously close. Evelyn's lips trembled and she felt a shiver go through her spine. It was as if that was the reaction she had to having Trigger's lips so close to hers.
Did she want to end it? She didn't know yet.
Evelyn pushed Trigger away, furious. She hated him for making her so nervous, so small and scared. She never let anyone see this side of her. And yet Trigger was tearing her down. He knew it, she knew it. She walked into the centre of his dorm. She wasn't going to give in. Glaring at the door and then at Trigger, this was her way of letting him know she was ready to leave.
OOC; low muse. poor me.

Trigger felt as though she had kicked him with all the force she had in the balls when she pushed him away. It was just as painful...maybe even more painful than being kicked would have been. Her fury was like a dagger to his heart but for some reason he wouldn't allow himself to back down. He strode right over to where she was standing and looked her right in the eyes. "You are being stupid." he stated angrily. If he had been perfectly honest he would have admitted that it was him who was being stupid, but he wasn't being honest....

Evelyn knew it was to late to back down. And if she couldn't go back down, she'd back up. Whatever that meant. When Trigger spat out those words, she felt there was nothing else she could say. Which is why her automatic reaction was to slap him right across his face.
It was too quick for either eye to see, but it held force. In fact, Evelyn didn't even know her weak self could have that much power. She decided to take up a new catchphrase, No-one f's with Evelyn Lily, as soon as this was over.
Of course, she immediately regretted two things. One was the slap itself although she was positive that he deserved it, and the second was not leaving the room.

Evelyns hand connected with Triggers face so fast he didn't see it coming and she was surprisingly forceful for such a small girl. He cried out in pain, his hands flying up to cover his face from further to attack. He stared at her incredulously, his eyebrow raised and his shoulders hunched up. "Jesus Christ, Evie!" he screamed. "What was that?!" he wanted more than anything to go over to her and push her as hard as he could, but Trigg couldn't bring himself to actually do it. He loved her too much.
The hair on the back of Triggers neck were standing on end and his breathing was ragged with anger. Every inch of his body was telling him to hit her back. But his heart wouldn't let him. He stared at her for a long time, trying his hardest not to cry. Then he walked very quickly over to the bed and sat down. He stood up again almost instantly, the anger was making sitting irritating.

Evelyn watched as Trigger stumbled over the bed and she felt the tickly rush that one gets when they feel that they are about to cry. Wow, that had been a rash decision. A girl who tried to live with no regrets, she was certainly screwing it up. She regretted the slap and she regretted not leaving the room. Why hadn't she just give in?
Hang on. What?!
That was weak. Evelyn knew she still didn't want to give in. But she didn't want an argument either.
Biting her lip, she frowned. You scared me! I didn't know what to do! she yelled, suddenly angry again, mostly because Trigger had made her feel guilty.

Trigger looked up at her and crossed his arms angrily. Although his face was stinging more painfully than he had realised was imaginable, he was ignoring it. He was angry. She had just SLAPPED him. Why wouldn't he be angry? He drew himself up to his full height and stared at her incredulously as she spoke. He couldn't read her expression, he didn't understand the emotions behind her statement.
"Oh, so you just slapped me?" Trigg shouted back, "You didn't know what to do so you slapped me?" he said, looking at her for verification. He dropped his hands down to his sides and flexed and unflexed them angrily. He stared at her. "That is real good logic, that is." he snarled vemonously, his voice was much louder than normal and it could probably be classed as shouting.

Evelyn knew what sarcasm was and she could use it. She picked up on Trigger's sarcasm and spat right back, Do you actually remember we're fighting about? She wanted it to stop. And, no, she wasn't good at comebacks. She was good at fighting and, evidently, slapping. A deep red mark on Trigger's face still remained.
I should just walk out the door now, right?! Is there any point in this anymore....Timothy?
Oh yes, she had used the full name. That was sure to get one hella big reaction for her to feed off.
Suddenly, Evelyn felt guilty. It was overwhelming. But she couldn't let Trigger know. Her expression blank, she stared right into Trigger's eyes, a half smile on her face, waiting for him to blow his top.
