Jade picked up two cokes, paid for them, and handed one to Evelyn. She sighed and grinned at the girl.
"So what is up with that math class? I mean is she actually for real with those damn numbers," Jade asked and took a long swig of the cold drink.
Jade had always hated math. It was one of her worst subjects, next to home EC. She wrinkled her nose at the thought of home EC. That class had always sucked, she didn't think you should get a grade on how girlie you could be, it was stupid. The only joy she got was seeing the Jocko boys trying to bake and sew.

Evelyn took the coke can in both of her hands, before thanking Jade graciously and popping the top. She listened to the brunette beside her, taking a swig of her coke like it was cheap whiskey (not that Evelyn had ever tried whiskey, but it sounded cool). I don't like maths, she said unintelligently before adding, Scratch that, I hate maths. Worst subject of mine. They walked out of the newsagents together, talking about their school subjects. I just..don't like really like school, Evelyn frowned. I like English and art though. Photography is kick-ass, she grinned.

Jade nodded,"Math totally blows. I never have had any use for it. I've never really had any use for school. I'm just going cause, well...you know, a degree is kinda important I suppose."
She shrugged a little and took a long swig off of her coke. School had always just been another place to go to get away from her house, and her father. Now, well, she honestly wondered if she really should just ditch it all together.
