Sun beginning to set and a slight breeze sweeping threw from occasional times. The swings were still in motion from someone jumping off and running home, if they had one. Others liked the dark and lurked around and about the small, quiet city. It was best to wear a sweater or something comfy and warm because of the winds. It was fall. Brown, yellow, and orange leaves scattered around on the side walk. The trees were becoming bare and the grass wasn't as green any more.
Dark, silky locks rested upon her shoulders, brushing against her cheeks as she walked solemnly. Lyla had known this park ever since she moved out of her parents house and came here. She went missing. Hmpf, no one would care. It didn't surprise her that her parents hadn't even made an effort to make contact with her. Lyla rolled her eyes and withdrew a breath, sucking it in and releasing it back to the world in a sigh. Her almond eyes scoped out things in the park. The slides, the swings, and the jungle gym. Her fingers curled around her iPod and hit the next button in a click. White ear buds fit perfectly in her ears as the music entered her mind.
Spotting a bench in the distance, she proceeded to it silently and placed her slender body upon the wooden frame gently. Crossing one leg of the other and making sure her headphones were in proper place, she relaxed and glanced about, looking for anyone else.

Jasons steps worked like clockwork as he stepped confindently into the park. Dead, browned leaves blew across the ground before him as he walked. He was clad in his black biker boots, blue jeans with rips in the knees, a black t-shirt, and a black leather jacket. His brunette hair was cut short, and spiked up. Hazel eyes glanced to his watch that he wore on his left wrist, as he was right handed. Seven o'clock pm. He pushed his hands into his jean pockets, continueing on his walk. Normally, Jason didn't like parks too much, but when no one was here it was nice. No children screeching and yelling, no adults yelling at children. Just the icy wind blowing the dead leaves off of the trees and onto the ground.
His hazel eyes then caught sight of a figure, sitting on a bench. As he walked closer he recognized the girl and grinned to himself. It was Lyla. Listening ot her music again, no doubt. He walked up behind the bench. He gently placed his hands over her eyes, a grin tugging at his lips.

Lyla was listening to Naive by The Kooks. She hummed along quietly when she flashed her eyes at a stray cat creeping across the clearing into the forest beyond the playground. Funny place to build a park, a child runs off into the forest and gets lost, never see him/her again. Lyla sighed softly and ran her hands threw her hair and smirked. Soft and fluffy. For a brief moment her mind went to Jason. Her best friend. Yeah, so what if he was guy. No doubt you couldn't put make-up on him or pick out dresses for him to wear on dates but they were buddies. Most the time Lyla was perverted any ways and he'd be right there with her.
She grinned at the thought of him and almost let out screech when a pair of hands covered her eyes. She removed the hands from her face and glanced behind her with a stern look. Seeing Jason, she mumbled. Speak of the devil. But then the harsh look went away and turned into a laugh. With a ever so soft voice through the laugh she spoke, "That was cruel." Her deep brown eyes stared into his own hazel for a moment as she smile. Her pearly white teeth showing through the glossy lips.

Jason let her remove his hands, allowing them to fall onto the back of the bench, gripping the backing gently. He turned his grin into a stern look to match hers. He folded his arms across his chest in mock anger, mimicking her. When she laughed he smirked, his lips turning upward ever so slightly as he watched his friend. They were really good friends. It didn't really matter that they were different genders. Sure he couldn't drag her out and make her join in a drinking contest, and she couldn't exactly give him a makeover. Though, she did once, he was piss drunk and she wasn't helping. He shook his head at the memory. When he was his normal self he took risks. But when he was drunk, high, or God forbid, both, he'll do damn near anything.
"No it wasn't, your just PMSing," He replied with a grin. He walked around to the front of the bench and sat beside her. His hazel eyes fell on the swaying trees. He could get lost in the motion, the soft whisper of the breeze was calming as it swept through the park. Jason loved fall, it was his favorite time of year, though, very little people knew that about him. Very little people, don't know what he likes or cares for. But, eventually, everyone gets a hint at what he doesn't like. He let out a sigh and let his head loll back, his head hung over the back of the bench and he stared up at the darkening sky. Hazel eyes then looked back to Lyla. "So, what have you been up to in the last," He paused, looking at his watch. "seven hours and approximately thirty-seven minutes we've been apart?" He ended with a chuckle. God, did he count the minutes? The question was serious, though. It was just what he did, got into other peoples business, he had to know what they had done. He was just controlling that way.

Lyla wrinkled her nose up at Jason for mocking her. She crossed her arms over her own chest and stuck out her tongue at him. Lyla let her arms fall after his did and she gently crossed her legs over another again. "Psh, yeah, whatever." A grin flashed at him as she rolled her eyes and picked at the hem of her shirt quietly. She had on a black hoody and a pair of dark jeans, along with a pair of vans. Lyla looked to Jason as his head flopped back to look at the sky.
"Lonely, I think I have problems talking to people." A sigh was released as a guilt look took over her face and looked to the ground. Lyla's eyes blinked to the sky as a roll of thunder crashed threw the silence. Lyla looked to Jason and spoke in a normal tone, "We could go to my dorm if you like?"

{ish fine. xD}
Jason listened to her reply. He tilted his head to the side, letting it crack in two places before straitening it up again. The roll of thunder grew louder, rumbling in the distance. The wind picked up suddenly, the sky clouded over with dark clouds. This brought on memories. Memories of when he was drugged up on opium when he was sixteen. He was standing on the roof of his house, a storm was raging around him. His arms were outstretched, his eyes had been closed. Ever since then, he enjoyed storms, especially the violent ones.
"Well, you shouldn't have a problem with talking to people. Just come and go, 'Hiiiii!' He drug out the 'hi' in a humorous way, flashing her one of his boyish grins. Upon her offer he pretended to look shocked. "Why, Miss Lyla! What would your parents say?" His voice laced with fake shock. He then laughed and stood. He began to walk back wards into the direction of the hostile. "Let's go if we're goin' then. C'mon!" He motioned for her to get up with his hands. Yes, he was being dominating again. He noticed this. Whoops. He chuckled inwardly.

Lyla watched him and sighed. She laughed at his second comment and bounced upward off the bench, skipping ahead of him and replied to his smart alec remark, "I'm not that pretty!" She laughed and flipped her hair back then stared at him. " You know my parents don't care." She chuckled and skipped a bit onward. Twisted and stopped in her pace to glance back for Jason with a grin on her face and twinkle in her eye.
